EMOTIONAL OASIS OF TOMORROW

In the present moment, increasingly shaped and carried along by algorithmic systems, emotion is often compressed into a set of fluctuating data points, while the complexity of inner experience is reduced to calculable labels and parameters. Against this backdrop, Emotional Oasis of Tomorrow proposes an alternative understanding: emotion is not a static indicator, but a perceptual frequency in continuous fluctuation, existing within multiple potential states.

Integrating neuroscience, psychology, mindfulness practice, and artificial intelligence, the work constructs an immersive emotional field. The audience’s brainwaves and physiological signals are sensed and analyzed in real time. Rather than being used for classification or judgment, the project’s self-developed brainwave trend algorithm functions as a connective mechanism, coupling individual emotional fluctuation with the spatial structure itself. In this process, emotion temporarily stabilizes from an indeterminate state of tendency into perceivable light, soundscape, and environmental rhythm, forming a continuously generative field.

Space is no longer treated as a passive container, but as an adjustable perceptual structure. The rhythms of light, layers of sound, olfactory cues, and microclimate systems interweave into a dynamic network, establishing a cyclical mechanism between human neural activity and environmental feedback. The viewer is both the one being listened to and an active part of the system; shifts in emotion influence the overall distribution and rhythm of the field.

At the core of the installation, the “Ecological Floating Island” operates as a multisensory node, combining plant systems with microclimatic environments so that technological logic and ecological elements enter into a collaborative relationship. Through the process of being listened to, responded to, and held, the individual not only undergoes emotional attunement, but also re-establishes a perceptual connection with space itself.

The project seeks to reclaim “emotional sovereignty” within the digital jungle, rebuilding perceptual anchors and a place of spiritual dwelling for contemporary life. Against the backdrop of an increasingly computational age, Emotional Oasis of Tomorrow puts forward a different possibility: that technology need no longer merely compress emotion, but can instead become a medium of listening and response—allowing emotion to once again regain a space for emergence, resonance, and repose.
